Because our officials have not signed off on the proper paperwork our soldiers will be the only unarmed adults on the streets of Kabul. But not to worry: we have chaperones. To keep us safe in Afghanistan our soldiers have been given German bodyguards. The only way this could have been more humiliating is if we were to be protected by the French.
